DeVine

My husband and I are travelling to Medicine Hat from Toronto, Ontario and were looking forward to eating at DeVine. Last summer we found this restaurant and they were so accomadating...I have a garlic and onion allergy. The chef crossed off everything I couldn't have...still a great selection. The food was fantastic. So sad to hear they have closed. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where to eat?

Now that the resturant is closed, where can you go for good outside dining. The phone # is still working but the resturant is closed. Will it reopen. Someone needs to save this unique dining experience.

Okay - overall, this is the best place for lunch or dinner in the Hat. Best. The patio in the summer (day or evening) is fantastic - very lush and intimate. The food is 5 star, and anything on the menu is good. My only gripe is portions. They could be a bit larger. I leave lunch every time wishing it was maybe a half-portion more than is served. I'm not a big guy, just hungry!

The wait staff is very professional and very friendly. The service is prompt and attentive.

I found it very loud as I was looking for a more intimate setting. I guess not all fine dining is intimate. This is not really the owners fault as he obviously wants this type of setting. The food was really good except my steak which I ordered medium rare, was very rare. But the beef was sooo good and tender that I still ate it even though it was raw. My husbands meal was perfect! We sat with empty drinks for a while and after talking with some friends we found that they thought the drink refill time was a little slow also. The staff was pleasant.

I was a little skeptical about such great reviews but the proof was in the pudding! We've eaten in many restaurants in North America and the meal at DeVine was one of the best! Flavors are layered and exceptionally combined. Kudos to the Chef! We'll definitely visit often.

Devine has unbelievable food. It is by far the classiest dining in the Hat! A must go.
